Historic is an eternal format in MTG Arena that allows you to use all the cards in your collection, including ones rotated out and introduction of new cards via Historic Anthology sets not available to Standard. I’ve built a lot of decks for Brawl in the past few months, and this week I took the time to compile all of them in one place.I’ve highlighted the decks I’ve worked on or enjoyed the most in bold, so keep an eye out for those if you’re looking for my personal recommendations.

Everyone knows Niv Mizzet is one of the best Brawl decks at this point; that trend will continue to Historic. Just play mono-R with Torbran then, you can swap in a few common/uncommon Historic cards like Lightning Strike, Fanatical Firebrand, or Viashino Pyromancer if you want or any other Historic cards you might have (dunno if you played in time to a Rekindling Phoenix in your starter decks) . Since direct challenge defaults to "Friendly Brawl" (Historic cardpool), Historic Brawl is largely going to be the de-facto legality of the format (and it's a lot of fun!). I mostly updated/improved my Standard Winota deck for this purpose (I include a longer description in that article), and I suspect this is still going to be one of the best Historic Brawl decks. Most of the upgrades are at the 1 drop slot, where you get a swarm of good ones that should give the deck some very savage starts.
