Over 95% of the zoo’s income comes from visitors, and with it now closed to the public, the zoo is struggling to pay its bills. Orana Wildlife Park (a registered charity) is NZ’s only open range zoo that is home to over 70 species of endangered wildlife from NZ and the world, including NZ’s only Gorillas.
